What are the differences between common carp and crucian carp? How can I tell the difference when I catch one, as I am completely stumped!
Crucian Carp don't grow as big as Common Carp (the record is just over 4 pounds for a Crucian I think). The easy way to tell the difference is that Crucian Carp are much higher in their body, and shorter in length. They are more 'disc' shaped, similar to bream in a way.
Other tell tale signs of Crucian Carp are golden scales, dark green back, and slight red fins.
yeah mann! , fishings mint :)
